As the end of the year fast approaches, we take a look back over some of the most incredible Instagram images from all around the African continent over the last year.

These talented photographers captured some special moments of the year.

Yesterday I launched a little side project I've been working on: a hiking/travel blog, Just Wandering (link in my bio). Go check it out and let me know what you think. When trying to describe what excites me most about travel, a whole heap of clichés rise to the surface: it broadens my cultural appreciation, discovering new landscapes, meeting new people who challenge and shape my perspective. And all of those are reasons for me as well. However, the thing that motivates me most to travel is a sense of celebration, of reveling in the diverse and unexpectedly beautiful moments we discover when we take time to walk out the door and just look around. @beautifuldestinations #BDTeam . . . . #kzn #mountains #hiking #justwanderingblog #drakensberg #meetsouthafrica #southafrica #backpacking #giantscuptrail #gardencastle #berg #hike
