The Silent Language of Elephants

May 10, 2016

Further delving into discoveries about these mysterious creatures  only leads to a deepening of respect for the Elephant. It comes as no surprise that Ellies possess sophisticated capabilities when it comes to communicating across great distances.

Elephants use Seismic (or vibrational) communication, whereby messages via vibrational sounds are transmitted and received through the bottom of their feet and through the earth beneath them. This way the elephant can communicate with other herds to warn against possible danger.
